Since its foundation more than 85 years ago, the processing of metal and the manufacture of high-quality metal products have been the traditional field of activity of Unterfurtner GmbH from Sankt Peter am Hart in Upper Austria. Having started out as a traditional metalworking shop, the company has added the processing of aluminum, plastic and, due to high demand, wood over the years. The production of machine components and sheet metal processing are just as much a part of the range of services as the construction and installation of exclusive building façades, the production of artistic compositions made of metal and the fitting of large building complexes with similar, but almost always individual window, door and façade elements.
While the company mostly operates as a contract manufacturer in certain areas such as mechanical engineering, it also has extensive activities in the pure project business – including its own design, planning and assembly. In order to secure the economic development of the family business in the long term, those responsible around Managing Director Martin Denk decided to implement the ams.erp multi-project management system, which is tailored to make-to-order and variant production. Since April 2019, the software has been controlling business processes company-wide and ensuring the desired consistent data flow.
